First Viewing: June 24th., 6 -9 pm
On view June 24th - July 3rd
The foundation of this exhibition is a large and unique installation that transformed the gallery into a stage/playground for the visitors/viewers who were then photographed again by the artist.
The new photographs were the base for a new mixed-media body of works.
The installation itself is 8x12 feet, and is composed from 25 separate prints on canvas (some are coated with resin.).
"It, actually, serves as an over-size contact sheet with points of references. It is a mix of portraiture, street and parties photographs that is inviting the viewers to, intimately, get more familiar with current and past events of the Hipster community.
The work will tell you some of the stories about love, lust, happiness, pain and tragedy that occurred in Bushwick in the last 10 years in front of my lens.” -Rafael Fuchs
